Project Description
This project is a 3 Building, 15 Unit Town Home Development. Our Client was inspired by an old black and white photograph of the late 19th century home that once sat on the site; this home was torn down in the early 1970s, leaving the site vacant for over 30 years. This development was a tough sell to the surrounding Historic neighborhood of large Victorian and Shingle Style Homes particularly because of the increased density of the site and the projected traffic and other issues that accompany this type of development. We developed a solution composed of 3 separate buildings: two 4-unit buildings located on the main street, Prospect Avenue, scaled to match the surrounding large single family homes, and a 3rd 7-unit building (West Building) along the back of the site. The first building built – “The Loomis-Wooley” (the North Building) is named after the owner of the original 19th century home. The 4 unit South Building has not been constructed yet.
